[apple-iphone] iPhone X is not putting out sound

 

Suddenly my wife's iPhone X is not putting out sound thru the usual internal speaker at the top of the phone. If she switches to the bottom external speakers she can hear people clearly. The upper speaker that you listen to with your ear however is silent. Any suggestions?

If you want voice memos from an old
Phone to appear on another iPhone, they will once saved in songs in the music.  Only the location is different, but you can still access them on any phone you sync to your computer.

All that is reqd is to check the "include voice memos" box whilst syncing.  Look for this option.  You will then find all voice memos under the name you have given them in your "songs" on the Mac.

That is what I reckoned Otto, which is why I saved the files, but it doesn't work. They were dragged into the first "Voice Memos" section in the window that itunes first opens when a device is plugged in, and they were also dragged into the "Voice Memos" section of the specific device after you click on the device icon at the top. And they are still sitting there, with an error message on every sync that itunes cannot find them. I have presumably dragged them to the wrong place, as itunes is aware of them, to give an error message. This has been going on for weeks (from which you will guess that they are not vital, but I am peeved I cannot listen to them)

The 6 plus has been wiped completely and kept for spare if the 8 plus fails me. Th iphone 6 plus backup is in itunes (the 8 plus backup is separate and new). The sound files in question also exist on the PC as separate *.m4a files. (As I was setting up the new phone from scratch and not restoring the old backup, I was careful to keep quite a lot of individual files from apps etc and the Voice Memos are among them)

What's OP?  And I'm telling you (and all of you) all this I assumed you were unequal to the simple task of transferring voice memos.  Clear?
