1. There hasn't been a "6X" iPhone, ever.
2. The 6 Plus And the 6s Plus could be gotten all the way up ro $949, if you chose 128 GB of storage, but not $1000.
3. 6 1/2 weeks ago, 76% of users had adopted iOS 11 and almost all were not having significant complaints about it. 19% were running iOS10, and 5% were running something older.
4. If you tell us what apps you can't run on iOS 11, perhaps someone can help. If all you are interested in is venting your spleen, we cannot help.
5. I presume you DO know that the cheap flip phone you propose to replace your "6X" with won't run your apps, either.
6. "Ridiculous" is in the eye of the beholder.
