Well, it arrived yesterday and I'm not very impressed.

The clip to which the lanyard attaches is just that, a metal band
which clips to the hard plastic case. A sharp tug could detach the
clip, leaving the phone to fall to the floor.

The provided "lanyard" is just a wrist strap and is too small. It's OK
for typing with your right thumb when the attachment point is on the
right hand side of the phone, but if you want to take a landscape
photograph the strap is constricting. With the attachment point on the
left side it's OK for photographing but constricting for typing. The
same would apply to left handers with left and right swapped over.

The case fits securely - so securely that it's quite difficult to
remove. The volume buttons work OK, the "silent" switch is accessible
but the sleep/wake button needs a firmer press to get it to operate.
The hard case would protect the back and sides of the phone from
scratches but would provide virtually no shock absorption. There is a
fiddly, separate piece of plastic which plugs into the Lightning
connector and the headphone jack to complete the case periphery. This
would need to be removed every time the phone is charged - I can see
it being left off permanently.

The case comes with three self-adhesive "protective" films, two for
the front and one for the back. I cannot see the point of these. The
back is covered by the case, I don't wear any diamond rings so how am
I going to scratch the glass screen? - and I can't see that the thin
film would offer any significant impact resistance.

So, nice try, SwitchEasy, but your case will be consigned to my drawer
of bad purchases which might come in useful sometime - for something
other than an iPhone 5s.

regards,
Ian
