Re: [MacBook] Restoring folder into the dock

Amba,

You can drag any file or folder from a Finder window to the Dock, but they can only go after the apps at the end, in their own special section. Could that be why it hasn't worked for you so far?

Documents in the Dock is merely an alias of Documents in your User folder. Go to your User folder, click on Documents and drag it to where you want it placed in your Dock.

Yeah, I found that. It isn't as nice, for me, as the old download display from the sidebar, but it's OK, I guess.

Jim

To the right of the Search field, when dowloading, I see a down arrow & below it a tiny spinning 'barber pole'. When I click the down arrow, a window opens displaying the progress of each app downloading.

Re: [apple-iphone] Voice mail setup?

It is also in the manual under the confusing name of "visual voicemail".

Re: [MacBook] Clip Art

What are you trying to import?

If you are importing photos, and only JPEG seems to work, you could always open the photos in Preview and re-save them as JPEG.

[apple-iphone] Voice mail setup?

Hi,

I finally popped for an iPhone 5 with AT&T.

Went to the local store and bought it, no waiting.

Now I'm going through yet another learning curve.

My current question regards Voice Mail.

I guess I thought it would just work, but it didn't. It looks to me like the manual "Apple-iPhone-5-User-Guide-for-iOS-6-English" thought the same thing.

Can someone guide me on the right direction?

TIA,

Robert Poland - Fort Collins, CO

The only thing I miss so far is that there used to be a download progress window available in the sidebar, listing ALL the items (apps, podcasts, whatever) to be downloaded, and how those downloads were proceeding.

I don't see any way now to display that.

Re: [apple-iphone] iTunes 11

I don't think that's weird. I like that it shows what I have on my iOS devices. Preview has been able to read PDF's for quite sometime. There is a Kindle app for the Mac but as far as I know, no iBook for Mac.

My install of iTunes 11 went very well. I like the look and the new features. It looks cleaner without the sidebar open. Everything I need is across the too bar. Only thing I really have to get use to is the button for the mini player bing in the upper right corner instead of using the green button in the upper left corner.

Wow, is iTunes 11 weird!

In the playlist list, it has the books and PDFs that are on my iPhone and iPad and the books that are on them as well along with my music playlists.

I haven't checked to see ifI can read these books or PDFs... OK, the PDF's open either Preview or Acrobat. The books that are on there won't open, the dialogue that comes-up is that this will play on my iOS device.

WEIRD!
