Yesterday I went to iPhoto and chose stream to get my latest pictures from my phone. first I got a note that iPhoto had to be updated to match the latest system. So I did that.
Streaming never seems to just come up. It always asks me to start it. This time I got a notice like: you are already streaming
to another device do you want to change? so I said okay, why not? What device are they talking about? Do they mean cloud vs computer maybe? This is very confusing to me.
Well after spending a huge amount of time I mentioned sometime a few weeks ago maybe about redoing all my pictures that were suddenly rearranged into one folder (why I don't know) and out of all the folders I had already made, I opened stream this time after saying yes to the above issue and it opened a ton of picture I had from I don't know when into folders I thought were gone and the new ones I had started to redo were gone in part.. some were there others were not. It is a huge mess as far as I am concerned. I can understand why some in this group have mentioned that they don't like iPhoto.
I don't understand iPhoto or maybe the cloud. It seems like it would be the most convenient way to get my pictures into the computer but not if I constantly have to redo how they are entered?
Is there another program I can actually stream to or just use that is more stable and predictable and/or can someone here explain how iPhoto works? I thought I knew, but I guess not.
