[apple-iphone] New 4S

 

I just ordered a new 32 GB 4S from AT&T online. This is the first new
iPhone from other than Apple so I am not sure about activation. The
confirmation email from AT&T said I have to enter a URL after delivery
to activate the new phone, but I was under the impression all I have to
do is switch sim cards. Anyone know for sure?

I was going to purchase it at the local AT&T store as I called and they
had 3 in stock (2 white and 1 black). When I showed up less than an hour
later they were all sold. The store told me they couldn't keep them in
stock. Apple is now showing 1-2 week shipment and the area Apple store
was completely out of all carriers.

Also, did Apple fix the antenna issue on the 4S so no bumper is needed?
I am giving my old iPhone 4 w/bumper to my stepdaughter.
