No, it's a third-party adapter. The instruction sheet is bilingual (English and Chinese) and says "How to use it: Open Bluetooth and then will disply 'Lightning' device. finally connected it. Music started. When use it at next time will be connected automatically." The rest of the page is a pictoral representation of the initial instructions.
It seems that Apple no longer supplies a DAC/adapter and instead provides EarPods with a Lightning connector. The Apple adapter* is available for $9/£9 so I recommend that.. I suspect that what you have is actually a BlueTooth device and it uses the Lightning port just for power: setup is actually BT pairing. OTOH if you are happy with the sound quality, then that's fine, as long as you didn't pay too much for it.
*This has been measured at several audio sites and comes out very well, except for restricted power.
