When I import photos into my MacBook from my iPhone XS (latest iOS) the option to delete imported photos does not appear
You are importing FROM the device TO the Mac?
Backing up, basically.
And you then want to delete some or all of the images FROM the Mac.
How are you importing them?
Into what directory?
