This is a disaster to which I can see no solution. There is no communication between my iCloud data and my Outlook 2016 - they will not talk to each other despite Setup showing no errors. My iPhone and iCloud will not talk to each other either and the Calendar has been wiped by iCloud (I suspect because the ID in iCloud has changed). This is not a virus (it looks to be more than one issue)
I created a new Profile in Outlook, because my email and my Contacts were not communicating properly (see previous messages several weeks back). This solved that problem. However, now, in the new profile, the imported Calendars and Contacts do not transfer to iCloud - I don't think iCloud is identifying them as "Outlook" files because they don't come under the "Outlook" tag but in "Other". The same is true of iTunes - a direct link from iphone to PC does not transfer data - there are no options in iTunes to indicate which files are to sync, Just "All" Calendars or Contacts (and there is only one under each, in iTunes, anyway). It is not clear to me how the iphone Calendar got wiped - on one transfer only some entries disappeared (how can that happen - , just some). On another link to iTunes, trying to solve the issues, I think it synced with an empty (but undeletable) Calendar in Outlook. I note there is no "iCloud" tag in Outlook (there used to be) - only an icloud mail tag (my_id@icloud.com)
No communication phone to PC. No communication phone to iCloud (??different problems) no Communication iCloud to PC (??different again).
Win 10 64bit with Office 365 (Outlook 2016). Office repair has been run. Icloud uninstalled and reinstalled before resetup. (All with zillions of reboots). Old Calendars and Contacts all saved but I cannot put them where they seem to need to go. No evidence of infection (McAfee software)
Up the creek without a paddle. A whole day wasted so far with no prospect of solution that I can see. The real issue I suspect is the inflexibility of both the MS and the Apple software. No options to change file and section names etc
Parts of the issue also cross-posted in Outlook Users, though the main urgency is to get a working iphone Calendar that transfers.
