[apple-iphone] iPad Question

 

I know this is an iPhone group but I am hoping someone can answer a question about something happening with my iPad, Please??  I have the iPad mini

This morning while using my iPad and "writing" all of a sudden it was as if the keys (not actually using a key pad) froze and I couldn't type anything. I tried refresh. I was on Facebook so I tried logging out.  
I still could not type anything. I could not log back in.  I tried doing a google search but could not enter anything in the search field.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
