Thanks Bob! From all my searching, I was able to learn you can try to turn in on but don't plug it in! Most sites recommend putting the phone in a plastic bag of rice then putting that bag into a bag of damprid that keeps your closet dry. The other big thing is finding some isoproyl alcohol, not the normal 70% but 99%. You immerse the phone in the alcohol and it drives all the water out. Don't know if I'd be brave enough to try that.

So you are not sure if was inundated? Fall in toilet? Splashed on sink? Rained on?
Try to let it dry before turning it on or plugging it in.
Some say placing the electronic device in a container of rice for a few days will draw the moisture out . It has to be buried in the rice.

BTW Apple techs can determine if a phone has been soaked.
