Re: [apple-iphone] Mail doesn't delete

I just looked at the Apple Mail app. I am running iOS 10 on an iPhone 7 Plus. From the message list I can swipe to the right and make it unread.

I am using the Mail app in the phone. Usually gmail.

Sometimes I want to mark the message as unread so it will attract my attention more readily when I go back to reading it at later time when I know I want to give extra attention to that particular message. The flag is not very noticeable to me.

What email app are you talking about? I use 4 different ones.

When you read a message it should be marked as read. I don't understand.

When I put a message on trash directly when reading message, it does not delete. When reading a message and mark it as Unread, it does not mark. Flag works. Any idea why I can't delete ir mark a message as read when I am reading the message?
