Upgrade to what? Is the iPhone on the latest iOS?
How are you syncing the files? Using playlists? Manually? Syncing the whole library?

I find it difficult to add my own CDs to my iPhone lately. They show up in light print in iTunes but never load to phone. And I can't delete them. Editing playlists is impossible. I have iTunes 12.5.5.5 with an iPhone 6s. Should I upgrade?
