Re: [apple-iphone] How to download Audiobooks to my iPhone?

That depends on where the audiobooks are coming from.

iTunes is the catch all, and what I use the most. So I agree with Pat's reply.

Many of the downloadable audio books sources have their own apps. Audible.com has their own Audible.app. But I believe some of the books you can purchase and download from Amazon, are done with this app, as they own Audible.

Kindle.com sells audio books, and they have an app, too.

You may be able to download books from your public library. Overdrive uses downloads, but you have to use their app to download and listen to them. I am not thrilled with 3M Cloud Library, because while my library told me it was a download, it is really streaming.

Or if you mean books from optical discs, you can import them with iTunes, and it will convert the format to one that can play on the iPhone. Some are MP3, and some are other forms.

I currently have an iPhone 4S 32 Gb, and I keep 3 or more audiobooks on my phone at all time and several reformatted movies. The movies are an old habit from when I used to travel for work.

So where are the audio books coming from and in what format?

i'd like to download a couple of audiobooks to my new iPhone 6S Plus from my iMac. What is the best way to do this? My new iPhone has 64 gb's so there should be plenty of room.

Thanks.
