Fine and dandy if they lower their monthly bills to make up for it. However, if this is simply a way to raise prices then I am opposed. If the bill is $x with a free phone, as long as you hang on for two years, then it should be lower than that if you are supplying your own phone.

Several months ago, I decided I wanted to get the 6+ and pass my 5S to my wife.

I was on AT&T, so I decided to go with their Next plan, and as a result I now have unlimited voice calls, unlimited text messages, roughly double the data limit, on 3 lines, and pay about $50/month less than I did before on 2-year contracts.
