[apple-iphone] iPhone 6 Usage vs Free Space

Hi All,

I have this odd "issue" with my iPhone 6, so I joined this group in hopes of finding an answer.  First, after joining, I did search the archives to see if this issue has been brought up, and did not see anything that specifically addressed my problem.

Here it is:  when I look under "Usage" on my iPhone, it tells me I have 670meg of free space remaining (I have a 16g phone).  Yet when I back the phone up with iTunes, iTunes tells me the phone has 3gig of space remaining.

Can someone explain this discrepancy?

Thank you!
Frank Dibbell

Re: [apple-iphone] Apple Watch at Apple Store

Thanks, Sandy!  Keep us posted & I hope you feel better soon.  My watch is scheduled for delivery on Monday & UPS usually makes it to my house late in the afternoon.  Apple Pay has worked like a charm using my phone & I'm guessing that the watch will be even easier.  Now all we need is more merchants accepting it!

Pat I didn't receive that email until after my watch had arrived and I'd mostly finished with the setup. Still, I decided to go ahead and schedule a session (it's for Monday afternoon). After all, the assistant may point out a trick or two that will be useful. :) Meanwhile, I haven't gone anywhere since receiving my watch, as I've been a bit under the weather. That may change today — I can't wait to try out Apple Pay! :) Sandy

Congratulations! Sure makes you appreciate Apple that much more. I wonder if something like that would happen at a Microsoft store....nah!

I went to the Apple Store today to pick up an additional watch charging cable.. Soon after walking in, one of the employees spotted the Apple Watch on my wife's wrist. They said it was the first one they had seen on a customer. Soon most of the employess were gathered around asking questions. The store manager came over and asked her name and then climbed one of the tables and announced the first customer owned Watch they had seen was in the store. Everyone in the store cheered. Doesn't take much to make an Apple fan happy.

This watch belongs to my wife. She open the box, looked at the instructions enclosed and paired it to her phone. She said that it is as east to operate as her iPhone. She has not used the assistant. The Folks at the Apple Store today did help her get Apple Pay working. I have stayed out of it so far and she has it working well. Wish mine was here.

The Space-grey Sport watch was the most popular, and my choice, and because of the popularity, not all shipped as quickly as other models.

I have now had my credit card charged, and received notice of shipping from Apple, with an expected delivery date of 4/27.

Re: [apple-iphone] Apple Watch at Apple Store

The hype for the watch is feverish. There are complaints on MR website that the only news is watch news. Half of that is delivery news articles! It all seems a bit over the top, way more than any iPhone, IMO, but I am keen to see how it pans out in real world user experiences, though

I'll bet that trip was lots of fun!  My guess is that I might be climbing on my own table in excitement when my watch is finally delivered on Monday!
