Re: [apple-iphone] Re: iCloud seems to have died

That is exactly what I did, Christopher. Apart from the actual messages I got, icloud.com still exists in Outlook, which keeps demanding that I log in to icloud again. The iCloud Calendars and Contacts have, however disappeared from Outlook, though, as I said in an earlier message, itunes set up the new Calendars and Contacts in Outlook but does not sync them (without any error reports)

I think the earlier comment that Apple don't want us to use iTunes is probably correct (and a very dangerous policy one would think)

Reboot.

Close Outlook if open.

Uninstall iCloud.

Reboot.

That should remove all connections between outlook and iCloud.

Thank you both Sandy and Dennis for responses. I think I probably need to completely remove all traces of iCloud from the PC. The behaviour suggests that Outlook still thinks it is somewhere! I cannot, on the Apple site, find total removal of iCloud instructions. Is it somewhere?

Having said that, the Apple Calendar in my iphone does seem to have become unreliable anyway. My iPhone 8 plus is a fairly recent purchase, and is fully updated. Can it be that my longstanding Calendar has entries that recent Apple software and hardware does not quite like?

I would like to ensure total removal of iCloud and rely only on itunes to sync, if I can.

I have a similar problem. I have all of my Apple devices, iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro connected to my iCloud but the calendar is not the same in all three places. Any thoughts?

Thanks
