I've got the XSMax. In Messages, the home screen view lists the Name of the contact, a snippet of the last message and the date or time, all stacked. I looked at the 8+ I'm about to send back to Apple and the screen has the name above the message snippet with date on the right side and contact photo on the left. I've not been able to figure out how to get the photo back. In Messages settings I have the Show Contact Photos button on. If I click on message the contact photo is atop it. I've also restarted the phone. Suggrestions?
