I am debating doing that too but they told me mine shipped
Monday. Still no tracking number though.

That's what I ordered a week ago, in clear. My phone is here but not the
case, so I guess I'll have to buy one. I'm going to Apple to get AppleCare
tomorrow, so I'll see what I can find there in a case.
Haven't had time to enjoy the phone. It came about 3 today and its taken a
lot of time to get everything set up. Just stopped, and now having a
well-earned wine. Feeling satisfied.
