I have finally completed the transition to ios 6 on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
Did not go as smoothly as other upgrades but I finally got it done.
One of the things that I have found with iTunes Match and ios 6 is that
your iTunes music is no longer stored on your iDevice. I like the extra
storage space BUT I am a bit miffed that Apple is keeping it in the cloud
because I don't always have cellular service available to me. At least
everyone other week I spend around 5 days a week in an area where I get
terrible cell reception therefore I cannot access my music.
On top of that, looking at the music on my phone, if I have Show All Music
enabled, it is hard to distinguish whether a song is actually on the phone
or in the cloud since they have done away with the cloud icon. I hate the
idea of having to flip Show All Music back and forth to tell if a song is
on the phone or not.
Since I have around 19,000 songs in iTunes it would take me forever to have
to go through each artist, select each song and then download them to my
phone.
Am I the only one grumbling about this and has someone found an easier way
to bulk load music onto your iDevices?
