Hi all, I have a question about the app store refund policy. I purchased an
app that does not work at all after attempting everything I could think of,
reboot, uninstall and reinstall, etc. I reported the problem to Apple and
at the end of the reporting process the page states that they are not
responsible for the functionality of apps and to contact the developer.
While the developer did at least have the courtesy to reply, they are saying
that only apple can provide a refund and I haven't heard anything back from
them yet. The developer has stated that I should get a refund and that the
app will not work in any iOS after 4.3 and they will not be updating it.
This was not mentioned in the app's description in the app store.
I know the refund policy is in writing somewhere on apple's site, but I
can't seem to find it. I normally wouldn't even bother but this was
relatively expensive for an app which is listed as an app, but is actually a
book and I could use the money to buy a hard copy.
I would appreciate any info/advice on who is really responsible if there is
anything else I could/should do.
Thanks for your attention.
Janet
