The iPhone case market is as crowded as a Japanese wave pool, and, for
the most part, everything's just a tweaked copy of everything else. To
date, there's been very little innovation in this admittedly restricted
design space. After all, there's only so much you can do with
form-fitting plastic, rubber, silicone, and leather. Some companies,
like Vaja and EXOvault, do manage to stand out, but their prices are as
eye-popping as their lines' luxury looks.

Enter DiffCase.
Designed to emphasize the camera aspect of the iPhone, the DiffCase
nevertheless provides feature-rich functionality for several different
usage scenarios. It's got two built-in tripod mounts, an ergonomic
handle accessible in either orientation, a screen-protecting sunshade,
a credit card holder, a kickstand usable in both portrait and landscape
mode, a carabiner pass-through, and full six-sided rugged protection
(with the purchase of an extra lid).
On paper, you'd think the resultant amalgam of ABS injection-molded
