Re: [apple-iphone] Looking for juice pack recommendation and case solution

>> I have a newly-purchased 5s. I'd like to put a juice pack on it. Looking on Amazon, I see several models of Mophie juice packs and just wondered which one people like best. Also, all the juice packs look smooth. I have gripping problems with my left hand and tend to put my phones in better "grippy" cases -- is there any kind of less slippery-textured case that I can put on my phone with the juice pack on it? No, I don't mean holster, wallet or pouch, just a case on the phone. > > The Mophie Juice Packs may look smooth and somewhat shiny, but the black ones are a rubbery, matt finish, that is very grip-able. > > Go to a store pick one up and feel it. It also provides good protection. > > For my next cell phone, I will definitely check with Mophie, first! > > Brent I got my first iPhone in January 2009, a 3G. A little later, I bought a battery-backup case for it. Since then — almost 6 years, and 5 different models of iPhone — I have never found a need for that kind of case. People differ in their uses, and in their demand on the battery. I think the lowest I ever saw my 5S, at bedtime when I plugged it in overnight, was around 22%. Are you certain you *need* a battery case? All that being said, Mophie makes good products and stands by them well. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jim Saklad mailto:jimdoc@icloud.com
