Re: [apple-iphone] Lighting up while Sleeping

I'e had different experiences on several counts here.

I was climbing the steps into a construction trailer, when I dropped my iPhone in a Juice Pack. It landed screen downward, but at a slight angle. Luckily it missed the raised extruded thread.

I leave my battery switched to be used first, and never turn it off. I have not had a problem with either Mophie battery case in 6 years. I would rather wear out the case than the internal battery. Charging battery to battery, would be like using a trickle charger and should not damage the internal battery.

What cell phone were you using?

As long as you remember that the battery is the BACKUP, and keep the battery switched OFF, you will be fine. I made the mistake of leaving my case switched ON - and the overcharging caused the battery pack to swell. I had to replace the battery, or risk have the screen break from the pressure. As it was, the screen assembly split between the glass and the backing. The Mophie battery case charges itself and the phone when put on its charger. All you have to do when the iPhone battery runs down is to switch the case on.
