Recently iMessage has been acting very odd with 2 of my contacts.
First, my girlfriend had an iPad and a normal 'dumb' mobile phone. Her texts would appear in one thread and iMessages (from iPad) would appear in another even though I had her email and phone number listed under the same contact. Recently, she has bought an iPhone 5 and for a time had a different number, until she transferred it. Now I still get texts and iMessages separately but the texts come from the temporary number that she had for a few weeks, which has now been disconnected.
Secondly, a similar thing is happening with the girl I live with (works for Apple). She has had an iPhone for ages, hasn't changed her number and has used iMassage for ages. Just recently her texts and iMessages are appearing in two separate threads randomly. Sometimes I get the same message in both threads, sometimes only one and sometimes not at all. She has been having trouble receiving from other friends as well.
What is going on with iMessage? I know it had problems in beta but I thought it was being fixed?
