Yeah, the satellite view on google maps shows the vehicles on the street at about twice the size it previously did. To the point that a 24" flower pot and its shadow are distinguishable, by the pool, if you knew what they were. The shadows make it harder to identify larger items in my apartment backyard. (I miss seeing my utility trailer in the parking lot, and my pick up driving off in front of the apartments.)
I noticed that the resolution on google earth was about half of what it was before and in certain areas. like my home it is a lot worse than that, by a factor of 3 or 4.
