My Ford Escape has Microsoft's "Sync" which works reasonably OK but
is limited when it comes to the Iphone . If I place the vehicle's sync
system in Bluetooth mode, whatever happens on the phone comes nicely
through the speakers of the vehicle. However if I listen to satellite
radio or regular over-the-air radio , only actual incoming phone calls
interrupt the radio and play through the speakers. Other sounds, like
GPS instructions from the Iphone Maps, do not trigger the audio to be
routed to the speakers. Anyone else encounter this and have any
tricks that will get around this annoying limitation. The audio from
the phone's speakers is too low , with road noise, to rely on. So,
can't simply do that.
