To judge by laptop functioning, it might run better if you tried to keep 2-3 GB free.
Not having hawk-like vision, I prefer to keep movies on my iPad, and books. The iPhone gets Apps, and audio, and despite multiple 1-2 GB Apps, I still have about 29 GB free.

And the point is not that you HAVE over 25 GB of music, but that you feel you must have ALL of it immediately available, all the time.
That is a perfectly reasonable desire, although not mine, but it does come with certain consequences and constraints.
