I agree that RAM size is individual.

I have had my iPad 2 since last November, and I'm glad I have 64 GB -
thanks to AppsGone Free, but also to some bulky music apps
  (synthesizers).

Today (first day that the iPone 5 is on sale here in the Netherlands) I
have purchased an iPhone 4s, also a 64 GB one.
It is in the final stage of updating apps after upgrading to iOS 6.

I intend to attribute apps to either one, not always both.
(And I'm attributing roles between my iPad and my Android tablet.)

I think that my iPhone will become loaded with photos taken and
  offline maps installed.
Whereas document apps are likely to retreat to the iPad.

I took the SIM card from my dear Windows Mobile device, and I intend
to revive the unlimited Internet part of my SIM-only subscription. But
if I remember correctly, it has limited allowance before dropping
  slow.

(Being able to use that SIM card and subscription was one reason to
  buy a 4s rather than a 5 with a new and higher-priced subscription.)

  >There is no right, or best size. If you mainly use only apps, 16GB is fine, if you store many photos as I do, or have podcasts, or much music, you need bigger.

  >I did have the 16gb for many years. it held everything, but I don't watch movies usually but I kept accruing a lot of apps. Before I handed it in I decided though to upgrade to 32gb. Almost wanted the 64gb just to be sure, burt the radio shack guy said he rarely sells that size phone. So since I didn't have to wait for my phone, I kept the 32gb. I'm sure it will be just fine. I need to get rid of a few apps I don't use anyway.
