Re: [apple-iphone] Storage & iCloud Questions

I kept hitting the 5GB limit for iCloud so I am now paying Apple $.99 a month for 50GB. I know you said no expense but it worked well for me.

There is a plugin for Windows that lets you manage iCloud storage. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204283

You will love the iPhone 7 when you get used to it.

I got talked into trading-in my iPhone 6 for an iPhone 7.
I will not pretend to know what I am doing. I have a lot to learn about using an iPhone!

I just never seem to find enough time to learn everything I need to know.
I wish there was a group I could join that word send a tip (or trick) or two a day that I could printout and play with when I get a chance to relax........  anyway...

General,  Storage & iCloud

I see

I have used 14.5 GB and have 13.02 GB left

It is already saying  my iCloud storage is almost full.

Total storage available: 5 GB and 3817MB remaining.

(Please don't laugh. I don't have a child around here to teach me how to do this stuff.)

Now some questions.

How do things get put into iCloud?

I have never sent anything there. I don't even know what is in the iCloud!

Is there anything on my iPhone that does not take up storage space?

Do messages & pictures  use up storage space?
Are there things I can't see or might not be aware of taking up storage space?

What are my options... Is there a quick, easy and painless (no expense) way to take care of this?
I can't say for sure... but I think some updates added some stuff (apps) to my phone. Do they do that?  I see a little TV app I don't recall adding.
I need step-by-step answers, pretty please?

Thank-you for any help you can provide.
Peggy

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.
