Lo and behold, I think it was Sandy who first said my son gave me the wrong information about his watch download and update, and she was right. He kept reading it as 3.3. However, he also claims that he did in fact somewhere along the way encounter an (Chinese?) OS labeled 3.3 and downloaded it without using it, and then got rid of it after the real 3.1.3 appeared on his AW2 after the update. Sometimes he's a bit imprecise, which I've been pounding into his head for years now. Thanks to Sandy and others chiming in, and sorry to start an unnecessary thread based on bad data.
And I just now saw a note about wOS 3.2 Beta 2, released 2/6/17, I think just for developers. Latest bona fide OS I've seen so far.Dick-----------------------Richard E. Johnson, MD

Reasons for a Chinese or other foreign group hacking the OS of a widely used American product? Stealing software? Crashing thousands of users' devices? Etc? What would likely be the point? Thanks.
