Tim, get a Bluetooth capable of 4.0 for two devices 4.0 and above supports 2 devices. Whichever is active should play and depending on the particular BT if your phone rings or dings it should break in.
I'm using a plantronics voyager legend which works flawlessly with two phones. You could also choose a BT which supports only 1 device for just the iPad.
