Re: [apple-iphone] iPhone loses connection with provider network

Definitely call the provider. I just went through hours and hours of wasting time with Apple, they replaced my 6S and the problem persisted. It turned out Verizon has an auto update that updated my phone to HD voice and it nearly made the voice part of my phone useless. I finally got a Verizon tech who knew his stuff and quickly recognized my problem with my description of dropped calls, words cutting in and out, people could not hear me. (I guess that HD voice needs to be better tweaked!) When my son called me tonight he was so excited to be able to actually hear me and I didn't sound like I was underwater. The setting changes were in the roaming settings. I strongly suggest calling your provider. Wouldn't it be nice if Apple and Verizon (and other providers) actually communicated this info with each other.

My brother in law has an iPhone 6 that has started acting up. Every couple of days it seems to lose the connection with his telephone network. He's in a 4G area and the 4G goes away. When he reboots the phone, it reconnects and works for a couple days…then it goes out again.

I had him Reset Network Settings, then Reset All Settings. Neither step worked.

Apple authorized dealer replaced his SIM card. They say if he leaves it with them for a few days, they might be able to fix it or they'll replace it.

I was hoping to find some solution that didn't require that.

His phone has the latest system.

Any thoughts?
