Otto,
I wanted to quickly reply to you and thank you so much for your detailed instructions. Unfortunately I received them as I was leaving for an extended trip and have not been able to respond until now.
I will work on iTunes when I return and give it a go following your steps.
Thanks for your consideration!

You might try giving Apple Support a call & see what they might suggest. They can be reached at 800-275-2273.

[apple-iphone] Some issues with my iPhone 5
Hello All,
I'm looking for some advice.
I've had my new iPhone 5 just a week now. Tonight as I was using it while
plugged in it was doing some very strange things. First off, I touched an
app to open it and everything on the screen got HUGE! I couldn't get out of
it without a hard reset.
A few minutes later, while scrolling photos I could see it was shaking
terribly as I scrolled. If I held the scroll it would "tremble", then there
came the oversized screen again. This time I double clicked the HOME button
and shut down the open apps. That seemed to put things right.
About then I unplugged it. I've been trying to make it do those things
again and it won't. I think it had something to do with charging it while I
was using it.
Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think I should take it in?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Janet
Re: [apple-iphone] Caze / Re: New iPhone 5
Thanks for the link for the CAZE link. I just bought a ultra clear case and has been shipped. Can't wait to get it. I hate more than anything to have my beautiful baby hiding in a case and not be aboe to dazzle with her beauty LOL. Ok, I know, you're right :->

It is possible for each of you to "subscribe" - if that's the word - to each other's iCloud and ONLY turn on the Find My iPhone function.
[apple-iphone] Re: iOS6 Initial Impressions (
I took the plunge yesterday.
iTunes update - half an hour
Backup iPhone - half an hour
download iOS6 - an hour and a half
update phone - 45 minutes
Got stuck in a loop with iTunes something about not recognizing the phone - turned out to be an open dialog box hidden under window. Finally - I just pulled the cable and the phone came up - everything worked.
One kudo is that this time - my folders weren't mangled by the iOS. All apps stayed in their folder. I got a new app called passbook that displaced a home screen folder unnecessarily. Fortunately, I can tuck it into a folder and restore the screen the way I want it, unlike that stupid Newstand I got last time that won't allow itself to be put in a folder.
All in all, a pretty seamless process. A couple of hiccups, but nothing like the ponderous 3-4 and 4-5 updates.
Unfortunately, I was not given the option to retain the old version of maps, even though I did a backup. New maps appeared and overlays several other apps with the new maps information. Fortunately, new maps doesn't mangle my area too much - its satellite data is nowhere near as up to date as Google in my area - as the construction of a major freeway (Grand Parkway high 99), a cross street, Tuckerton bear witness. And my home does not show the addition of a pool over two years ago. Probably - the luck of the draw when it comes to the selection and updating of satellite data. Still, when new streets and eventually freeways become available, it would be nice if the maps application were aware of the new routes, instead of utilizing the same ones that are now congested enough to spur the development.
Re: [apple-iphone] Touch Screen help
I have had trouble on iPhone 5 and iPad with iOS6. I think it's connected. Have read other complaints similar to ours.

Re: [apple-iphone] Touch Screen help
For the what it's worth department, the responsiveness on my iPhone5 is about the same as it was on the 4S.

Re: [apple-iphone] Touch Screen help
I would turn it off wait a few seconds then turn it on and see if it's any better. The operating system was preinstalled so there should not be a problem like an update went bad or something.
My iPhone five has been fine no problems at all.

I need help please. The touch screen on my iPhone 5 is temperamental, I have to tap something 3 sometimes 4 times before it responds. Is this an operator issue, a setting issue, or should I return the phone to the Apple Store for a replacement? My iPhone 4S was very responsive to my finger commands. My iPhone 5, not so much.
[apple-iphone] Re: Good experience with Apple Maps
Roundabout is the term being applied in the US to modernized versions of what had been called rotaries in the past. These are be becoming more prevalent as safe, efficient solutions to various intersections. The difficulties encountered at the rotaries at the entrance to the bridges at Cape Cod and other similar designs are the reason for using the term roundabout to distinguish the new designs. Rather than continue this discussion here, however, if anyone has questions on the new roundabout designs please contact me directly and when I return from my trip I can provide some reference info or links.

Being an American in England. I hate regular roundabouts. This one would scare me to death.

[apple-iphone] Call Blocker Pro
Hello all!
I'm new here, as I'm a recent convert. I just turned in my Blackberry and got the new iPhone. So far I'm loving it.
A question. I had Call Blocker Pro in my Blackberry, but I can't seem to find this app for iPhone. Can anyone help me with this? Or is this an app that simply isn't available for the iPhone?
Sandy

On the Mac iTunes, when you display the apps on your phone, they can be sorted by size with the size listed. I've used this to do exactly what you are planning.

[apple-iphone] How to find out how much space is being used by each app?
Can anyone help me with this, please?
iTunes is showing that too much space on my iPhone 4S is being used by
the apps I've installed. I want to cut down on them.
Is there a way to find a list of the Apps that in order of those that
are using the most space, showing how much space is used by each App, so
I can concentrate on eliminating those first?
Thank you.
