[apple-iphone] What Am I Doing Wrong?

 

The new iPad was delivered today. I backed up my iPad 2 through iTunes to iCloud and activated my new iPad. I did a sync from my latest backup. All went well or so I thought. When I went into my journal app on the iPad all my journal entries were gone. It was like starting from the beginning. What am I doing wrong? Shouldn't the information in all apps be backing up to iCloud since I have iTunes set to do that?
