Same here. I mean I don't want to worry about how much space left in my iPhone. From the very first iDevice I owned, I always get the one with the highest capacity. It's not like you just change the memory when you need to, you have to change the whole phone. Since I have lots of media that I want to be available with me anytime, I always opt for the highest capacity.
So, if the new phone still comes with 64gb highest, I don't see the need to upgrade.

Why 128GB? Because I have 64GB now. More storage is the ONLY reason I upgrade.
