I have 32 GB iPhone 4, and I definitely would not buy anything smaller than 64 GB next time. 128 GB would be great, and if they offer it, I will buy one.
I am always within a GB or so of being full. I have hundreds (almost 1000) podcasts, a few thousand songs, a few hundred videos, a few hundred apps, maybe a hundred books or so, etc. And I do NOT have everything on it that I have available; if I did it would fill most of a 64GB. I have over 25 GB of music, alone.
32 GB is not enough. But, different people use their iPhones differently, so your mileage may vary.

Roger, why 128k? 32k seems big to me. I don't play a lot of games on my
iPhone. I do read a bit and keep the book I'm currently reading on my
iPhone along with the current issue of Macworld magazine and Mac|Life
magazine. I also have Splashtop and a few other apps on my iPhone.
Really not a lot of apps on it.
