Thanks Archie. I am indeed planning on using a local sim. The only thing is that I don't know just yet how much navigation the "prepaid" versions that they sell to tourists will permit. e. g. I'd bought a local sim on a visit to England and I'd found outgoing calls using it almost as expensive as using my own sim. Of course things have moved on since then as at that time the data roaming and other facilities were not as advanced as they are now.
