"iMessage" is Apple proprietary term for messages sent between Apple devices using Apple's proprietary Messages app, and utilizing
your Wifi or cellular data, and NOT using your cell carrier's SMS text service.
Absent Apple's Messages app, you cannot see iMessages.
And Apple's Messages app is a part of the iOS operating system, and cannot be removed from your device (although you *may* be able to hide it).
