Since I am using this mostly for talking with people from Facebook, I guess maybe I have the one I need?????????? I had never heard of the iMessage before, so I didn't know even know to look for it. I do have unlimited text.
Would you think the one I have is okay or would you think I should change to iMessage?

There is no download needed, because it is part of iOS.iMessage allows you to avoid using you cell provider text messages, under the right conditions, if you don't have unlimited texting.

Thank you so much for the reply. First of all, I am wondering if I have downloaded the wrong app. Mine is a blue circle with like a white lighting bolt in it and it just has "Messenger" under it. I looked at the imessage apps and there were several. Which one did you use? Can you explain what it looks like. And, what did you mean by "native" iMessage app?I looked, and if I go to settings, sounds, text tone...that is already on with a tone picked. I did turn on the badge icon for Messages in Notifications. Thanks so much for that advise. Hope to hear for other things I need to do.Andddddd, I am enjoying this new phone! I just love it. I think I like it better than anything I own! lol lol lolJust me!Anne
