I just upgraded to a new iPhone at AT&T and asked to unlock my old iPhone 2g which is long out of contract. Nope, they said, we don't do that. They suggested googling for further information on unlocking. I did that but was presented with a bewildering array of choices, many of which seem suspect.
Has anyone found a good, easy (for a non-techie like me), and reliable way to unlock an iPhone so it can be used in other countries? Failing that, a good source for new unlocked iPhones?
Many thanks,
