Hi Bill, I googled it and saw that too, and saw a variety of ways to do it, so thought it best that you explore the options.

Hi Karen,
I did and found SafariSort. It seems to do the job. Also found a suggestion to take the folders out of Safari and place them on the Finder to alphabetize them and then return them. That sounded too labor intensive. So far this little program SafariSort seems to do it fast and easy.
