almost certainly, yes. remember, wifi signals are radio signals. and with
any radio signal the better the antenna and receiver the more stations
you'll pull in.

Also, I do have "Ask to Join Networks" on, but there are only three
displayed, while my MacBook Pro displays nine. Is that just because the
Wi-Fi unit in the MBP is so much more powerful?
