Residue – great deduction. That would have exactly fit the problem as I described it. However, my 5C has no protective cover, But is responding the same way my 4S did after removing its Invisible Shield. I thought of recurring examples:
To insert a photo I tap at the far left to invoke the paste/options menu. On the menu's far right is an arrow which will reveal the Insert Photo or Video command. (Shortcut anyone?) If I tap on the arrow itself, the menu bar disappears and I start over again. I found that If i aim to the left of the arrow, I get the insert photo button.
The above situation is about precision. Here's one about persistence. After each game of Tetris Blitz. I need to close a "page" by tapping the familiar X in the upper right. Sometimes I have to tap a couple dozen times before it closes!
