Re: [apple-iphone] Problem downloading audio books from the library

Yes the process is slow.

Are you using a Mac or PC and what OS? I'm guessing you are using a PC.

If you are using a Mac, when the iTunes window is open click on iTunes in the Menu Bar and go down to About. The settings you are looking for are talking about are in the iTunes window to import. You want the Import Settings in the bottom of the window. I don't know if you can reach it when transferring a book from Overdrive, because the process starts up when you start OMC. You don't get a change to make the change.

This is actually an iTunes problem but I hope someone here can help.  Thank for your understanding.

I am downloading audio books from the library and it takes forever to transfer them to my iPhone (4S).  I am getting a message from Overdrive (the downloading program) that my AAC import setting is at 128 kbs and should be changed to 64 kbs for faster transfers to the phone.  The message tells me to go Prefences in iTunes and change the setting there.  In Apple's wisdom they do not provide a standard interface and I cannot find a Preferences setting anywhere.  I would like to tell you the version of iTunes I am using but I cannot find either an "About iTunes" selectin nor anyway to activate the help section.  It should be the most current version of iTunes as I just downloaded it this week.  Could someone please tell me how to change this setting?  FYI:  I have change this setting before in a previous version and it is the correct thing to do.

Thanks in advance... Bob
