The 4 and 4S use a micro sim, the 5 onwards uses a nanosim,. so best to go to your Telco and get them to enliven a nano sim with your cellphone connection.

I am planning on getting a new 5S, and then giving my wife my current 5 to
replace her 4. My question is whether the SIM card from her 4 would work in
my current 5. I know the SIM cards have been getting smaller, but I'm not
sure if the 4 and 5 use the same one or not. Or would I be better off to
just go to the store and let them take care of it?
