I have had a couple of days to use my new 5S iPhone. I waited to update my iPad4 until I was sure I would find it better. I have to say I was startled at first by the starkness and cartoony type icons. However after making some readability settings changes (aged eyes need contrast!!) I find I appreciate the clarity and the increased functionality of the new os. I especially like the speed, the notification center and the new multitasking layout.
Unlike many, I do not find the parallex setting nauseating. I find it fun. The increased motion is a good novelty.
The safari layout will take some getting used to. I don't like the skeletonized bookmarks and sharing button. The tab visuals are different but easy to pick the tab you need.
I updated my iPad tonight and really find the new os is very sharp. There is a slight stutter in the motion effects. Otherwise it is still snappy.
The battery life in my new iphone is very good compared to the 4s, even with most of the motion settings on. I will let you know if the iPad 4 is not as good.
(Also I just today received the leather apple iphone case. It is very well made and fits the phone quite well. A bit overpriced though! HAHA)
