Re: [apple-iphone] Not hanging up

No fuss, until the app burps, and redials.

Since I usually leave Phone.app on Favorites or Recent, it is just a scroll and click. No fuss.

I sometimes use favorites and recents as well. The thing I liked about the app was just click an icon on the home page and the number was called. No fussing through opening the phone app, finding the fave or recents tab and scrolling to the correct entry. But repeating redial makes it a no-go app now.

Make your life easier, forget the speed dialer. Use Favorites or Recent in the Phone.app.

I think I solved it. Not a phone or iOS issue, but rather an app issue. I've been using a Speed Dial app for a couple numbers. One of them has my wife's number programmed in so I just tap the app on my home screen and it dials her. I had another with my father's number programmed in. It was those two numbers that kept getting redialed. The failure to replicate the bug was because I was manually dialing the salesman's number in the carrier store. I didn't connect the dots until my wife kept redialing me over and over after I'd posted my earlier note. She has the same app with my number on her home screen. It appears the bug is in the old app. A shame because it always worked so well. The apps are Speed Dial #1, SD#2, SD#3 and SD#4 in case anyone else uses them and wishes to test my theory.

I haven't seen anyone else post about this so perhaps it's just an issue I'm having. My phone is difficult to hang up. When I end a call, the screen goes dark, then it comes back to life redialing the number of the just-ended call. This can go on up to eight times before it gets the hint that I don't wish to call the person back.

I took it in to the ATT store Saturday and of course we couldn't replicate the problem. But it has intermittently come back. I've turned the phone off several times, I've done the power/home reset but those haven't fixed it. Any other suggestins>
