I did the update to my 5 via iTunes without any bad effects. Of course, I had to uninstall iTunes on my PC and re-install to get the new version of iTunes. The last few iTunes version updates have required me to un-install and re-install a fresh copy. Has anyone running 64 bit Win7 been able to do an iTunes update without incident?
