Anything is possible. I've seen on some tech podcasts I keep up with that the smaller screen of the Mini frees up quite a bit of CPU cycles. Perhaps that helps.Jon
The CPU/GPU load is proportional to (among other things) the number of pixels being manipulated.
The iPad Mini and the iPad 2 have the same number of pixels.
The two Retina iPads -- 3 and 4 -- have 4 times as many (but they also have more capable processors).
The battery power required, however, is proportional to (among other things) the screen area that has to be lit up.
